About

A few words about me..

I was born into a musician family. With my father being a jazz trumpet player/singer and my mother being a classical cello teacher I was confronted with music the moment I was born.

Later on I picked up the pipe organ as another instrument which presented me with a whole new world of technical and musical challenges and gave me a very comprehensive knowledge about baroque music, especially baroque articulation, which I teach on the piano as well.

I have to give my special thanks to 2 of my teachers. Pianist Izabella Darska Havasine, founder of the International Ferenczy Gyorgy Piano Competition who I can thank for my technique, my skills and knowledge of teaching methodologies, she will always have a special place in my heart.

Furthermore I'd like to thank Laszlo Deak organist, multiple winner of international competitions  for elevating my skills to the level where I achieved 2. place at the countrywide pipe organ  competition in Hungary. He was and always be the musical personality who defines my professional approach to music.

After quite a few years of work and experimentation I created "The True Technique" piano teaching methodology. This method is built upon the weight technique, which originates from Chopin's own invention. I authored the first book of my method and named it "The True Technique of Piano Touch", after the special series of motions and dynamics, which serve as a base for using weight instead of muscle force to play the piano. That series of motions I named "Piano Touch" as my own invention, and the correct practise or the piano touch frees up the hand, arm and body of tension, even when playing fast.

For the purpose of sharing the teachings the correct practise routines and exercises for training the brain and the muscles to use the piano touch properly, I'm in the works of my first online video course, which is aimed for supporting the theory learned from my book, the "The True Technique of Piano Touch"
